I'm a full-stack engineer with 20 years of experience. I certainly have worked across multiple industries, and I have gone through the thick and thin along my career. I worked at LMSs, CMSs, E-commerce, social media platforms, hiring platforms, IoT devices, media streaming services, mobile apps, boring bug fixes, harsh legacy software to maintain, small companies, medium companies, large companies! I was there to see the rise and downfall of jQuery, of table-based layouts, CSS 1, 2, 3..., JavaScript going from a confetti kind of stuff to a dominating server-side language, XHTML going kaput, and HTML5 whipping out the web, Microsoft pairing up with Linux and launching open-source software!
I haven't seen it all, though! There's plenty to learn, AI tools going wild, and lots of ways to make good use of technology that mankind needs to learn. I want be fresh and alive to see and make my part on all that!
