I have a genuine passion for the English language in all its many wonderful forms and shapes. As Aldous Huxley said: "Words are like X-Rays if you use them properly - they'll go through anything. You read and you're pierced." Since 2011, I have been living by those words.
In 2011 I started to make inroads into the world of writing. After several years of writing poetry in my spare time, I started a poetry blog where I showcased not only my own writing, but the writing of others. From there it was a short hop to starting an independent publishing business. In the time I was active as a publisher, I helped to start the career of several writers in the fields of science fiction and poetry.
Starting in 2016, I dipped my toes into commercial copy writing, providing services to local businesses in the East Midlands area of the UK. From there I started to branch out to freelance websites, building up experience as I went. More recently, I have completed a level 4 diploma in proofreading, and currently write for News-Medical.net as a freelance life sciences article contributor.
My skills include:
I have the ability to work to set style sheets, and understand voice, able to write in a variety of styles including warm and casual and authoritative and technical. I always fit the style of writing to the client's brief and website tone. I can deliver work to deadlines and budget. If you hire me, you'll be assured of working with one of the best in the industry.
