Raymond Magambo

I am Raymond Simon Magambo, a dedicated and accomplished IT professional with a passion for integrating technology and business strategy to drive growth and innovation. Based in Dodoma, Tanzania, I bring a wealth of experience and a global perspective, having pursued higher education and professional training in the United States and Tanzania.

My academic journey includes a Master of Science in Information Technology from Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) in Massachusetts, where I specialized in business-focused IT solutions. This advanced degree, combined with various certifications such as the prestigious Fulbright scholarship and a Professional English Language Program at Kansas State University, has equipped me with a strong technical foundation and excellent communication skills.

Professionally, I have a diverse background spanning both profit and non-profit sectors. As the Founder and CEO of Tiketi Rafiki, I lead the company in delivering innovative IT solutions, focusing on strategic partnerships and business development. My role involves overseeing operations, driving business growth, and ensuring that our services meet the evolving needs of our clients.

In addition to my entrepreneurial ventures, I have held significant roles in academia and community development. As an Assistant Lecturer and Coordinator at St. John's University of Tanzania, I have mentored and educated numerous undergraduate IT students, preparing them for successful careers in technology. My commitment to social impact is evident through my work with the Tumaini Orphan Foundation, where I co-founded and directed programs to support orphaned children, and with Kyusa in Uganda, where I provided business training and coaching to local entrepreneurs.

My experience also includes a notable tenure at Worcester Polytechnic Institute's Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, where I developed and managed programs to foster innovation among students. This role allowed me to collaborate with faculty, industry experts, and alumni, enhancing my ability to build and sustain professional relationships.

Currently, I am preparing to begin a Doctorate in Business Administration at the University of Fairfax in Salem, Virginia. This program's flexibility will allow me to continue my professional commitments while pursuing advanced academic goals, further honing my leadership and strategic skills.

I am recognized for my exceptional skills in partnership development, business and project management, customer care, and stakeholder relationship management. My career is marked by a series of accolades, including recognition by the US Embassy in Tanzania and selection as a Mandela Washington Fellow.
