Raquel Alexandra Martins Pereira

Hello,

My name is Raquel Pereira and I was born and raised in Portugal where I still live. My passion for culture, art history, museums and curatorship encouraged me to graduate in Art History with a Master's in Museum Studies.

Since I started my professional career, I have worked as a Research Assistant in a project on Digital Art, Internet Art, and Virtual Exhibitions; a manager of an online communication platform focused on Portuguese cultural heritage; a culture and heritage educator; an events production assistant as well as an e-books production assistant; a researcher; a saleswoman; an exhibition assistant or an usher at theatres. All these different jobs prepared me not only to work in different environments and under a lot of pressure but also gave me experience in tasks as different as logistics, writing, proofreading and editing, research, databases, communication or presentations. They also demanded strong organizational skills, creativity, perseverance, and independence.
