Randy Thomas

Randy C. Thomas is a seasoned IT professional with over 17 years of experience in healthcare information systems, specializing in secure access solutions, system deployments, and user support. Based in Tavares, Florida, his career began at Adventist Health Systems - Information Services in Lake Mary, Florida, as Senior Customer Service Supervisor from May 2007 to February 2013. There, he led a help desk team, conducting performance reviews, implementing policies, and managing operations like intranet maintenance, time-off approvals, and emergency communications. Randy handled troubleshooting for access issues in Citrix, Active Directory, Cerner, and Series, verified user access levels, trained analysts, created documentation for processes involving Microsoft Office, Windows servers, and tools like Horizon Home Health. Certified as an Imprivata Engineer, he conducted environmental reviews, workflow monitoring, pilot setups, configured appliances in mixed environments (Citrix, VMware, Microsoft), contributed to best practices, and provided training and go-live support.

Most recently, from September 2014 to July 2024, Randy was Principle Managed Services Engineer at Imprivata (remote). He designed and deployed Managed Services, supported OneSign products through configurations, upgrades, migrations, and issue resolution across environments. He mentored engineers, built demos, taught the 2-Day Boot Camp, implemented 2FA for e-prescribing per DEA regulations, configured RADIUS gateways, and advised on HIPAA best practices. Randy's expertise in deploying OneSign to diverse endpoints has driven efficient, compliant healthcare IT transformations.
