I am an experienced accounting and finance professional with a strong academic foundation and over fifteen years of combined industry and academic experience. I hold an M.Com and an M.Phil in Commerce, which have provided me with in-depth theoretical and practical knowledge of financial accounting, management accounting, costing, taxation, and financial analysis. My career began with five years of hands-on accounting work where I developed strong capabilities in Bank Reconciliation Statements (BRS), accounts payable, accounts receivable, ledger management, and preparation of financial statements. I have always taken pride in my ability to handle complex reconciliations quickly and accurately, and I continue to consider BRS as one of my strongest technical specialities.

Alongside my accounting work, I have also served as a postgraduate lecturer, teaching various commerce and accounting subjects to M.Com students. This experience strengthened my communication skills, deepened my conceptual understanding, and enhanced my ability to explain complex financial concepts in a simple and structured manner. Teaching has also helped me develop patience, clarity of thought, and the ability to mentor others—all qualities that support my effectiveness in professional finance roles.

I have experience using modern cloud-based accounting systems, including Xero, QuickBooks, and Wave, and I am actively building expertise in these platforms to align with international and remote accounting opportunities. I am detail-oriented, disciplined, and committed to accuracy in every task I undertake. Whether processing supplier invoices, reviewing statements, reconciling accounts, or preparing financial reports, I always ensure that work is completed with precision, confidentiality, and full compliance with organisational policies.

My strengths include analytical thinking, problem-solving, error identification, and process improvement. I consistently maintain well-organised records, clear documentation, and structured workflows. I enjoy working in systematic environments where accuracy, timelines, and accountability are important.
