I currently work as a Business Development Manager for the Indo African Chamber of Commerce & Industry, and my role here has required me to wear many hats. In my two years of experience in the current role, I have worked on promoting international trade, I have interacted and held meetings with key decision makes (CEOs, MDs and Founders of Indian and African organizations), managed social media pages and grew the social following, along with organic (SEO and link driven) and inorganic (ad driven) marketing for the Chamber. The role has required me to manage all sorts of data and scheduling for myself, my superiors and for my clients. Other than this, the role also requires me to do thorough research - I can say that I’m good at finding and processing information, and then re-structuring it in a meaningful, and understandable manner. On the technological front, I’m well versed with word processing softwares (MS Word, Pages, Google Docs), presentation softwares (Google Slides, Microsoft PowerPoint), and other Google Suite apps (Gmail, Sheets, Calendars). I also have experience working with project management softwares, like Asana and Trello, and data research softwares like Evernote, social media management softwares like Hoootsuite and Buffer, and have managed WordPress and Shopify sites.
I’m a quick learner when it comes to technology, and I can learn new softwares and platforms pretty quickly.
Currently, I’m looking forward to transitioning to work remotely. I’m driven by the curiosity to learn new things: I love learning new technologies, techniques and processes, and I believe the opportunity to work with people from around the world, connected via technology, is nothing short of magical.
