Senior Data Research Analyst at Global Equity Data Team - Company Operations Process
(Since Sep 2012)
The team is responsible for updating basic operational data for public listed companies with a total coverage of
approximately 56,000 companies.
Job Profile:
Updating, reviewing, managing Industry/Sector classification changes for companies in coverage
Publishing daily reports to be in sync with the daily production and keep a track of the industries processed
Allocating work to the team on the basis of number of TAT files in queue and available resources
Receiving files from London Stock Exchange (Regulatory News Service, RNS) for processing them as Financial News
Working on client tickets and resolving them with satisfactory solutions within designated TAT
Reviewing files processed by the team for a first level QC check to avoid errors before it goes to products
Conducting Huddles with enthusiasm and keeping the whole team participative by discussing common issues
Buddying up with new joiners and taking care of their transition to the floor by providing training, feedback and
sharing knowledge and experience in the process
Reviewing Global Audit results and attending calls set up to discuss root causes and actions items for avoiding
them in the future
Preparation of reports on a monthly basis for peak status, GECS changes notification, files inflow comparison (year
to year)
Participating in peak planning, non-peak planning, other projects planning
Using Lean Tools to identify root causes for problem areas and preparing actions items to curb the efficiency issues.
Preparing specification documents for the technical teams for enhancements related to application improvement or
additions.
Liaising with the technical team for enhancements within the collection applications used
