Successfully delivered a 7.5 million shillings project by Johns’ Hopkins University on
trauma registry data collection in 5 major hospitals in Kenya including Kenyatta
National Hospital.
Provided technical input and guidance to implement the activities according to
international WASH standards, SPHERE, Project Cycle Management Tools and
WASH technical strategy.
In conjunction with the finance team, monitored overall project expenditure, ensured
proper forecasting and follow up of WASH related budgets. Improved cash reporting
systems and internal controls.
Reviewed programmes at regular intervals and responded flexibly to changes in
priorities or operating environment.
Trained local WASH committees on management, operation and maintenance of water
infrastructures
Prepared regular project reports including the financials and preparation of
documentation for donor reports.
Successfully planned, organized and coordinated events which were attended by key
government officials and featured in the local dailies i.e. Haki Water fundraising drive,
Global hand washing and world Water day.
Provided technical advisory to tendering/procurement committees on WASH supplies
and inspecting and ensuring quality of WASH supplies.
