I have experience in managing the accounting department that entails general ledger preparation, Financial reporting, managing account payables, receivables, fixed assets, management, budgeting and forecasting. I have led a a team in training and collaborating with them towards achieving the set goals cascaded to the finance and accounting department.
Business Processes - I have experience and done several jobs in help clients building their standard operating procedures with clearly defined roles and responsibilities, mapping the entire processes having identified the touch points, I also developed the associated Job descriptions and Key performance indicators or metrics that go along with the processes.
Internal controls - I understand leading practice framework in helping to develop a companies internal control framework that will ensure and effective and operating system, reliable financial reporting and compliance with applicable laws.
Internal audit - I have carried out several internal duties exercise for both co-sourcing or outsourcing clients. I understand applicable standards from IIA that guide in setting up an internal audit functions. I understand the role it plays as a third line of defence to a company.
