The target of this project is to develop new technique(s) to overcome the difficulties faced in the melanoma area detection from dermoscopy
images like; low contrast, hair removal and segmentation. The main focus of this project is contrast enhancement and hair removal in
dermoscopy images to extract the melanoma area precisely with minimum error probability. In the first phase a perceptually oriented
approach is developed to enhance the contrast of the dermoscopy images that improve the segmentation results with reduced error
probability. Software and dermoscopy images data sample both are available online for free download at
