Job Description:
April 2023- Present: HUMAN RESOURCE ASSISTANT
Key Responsibilities:
o Assist in the smooth running of the ongoing Rehabilitation and Extension of Mombasa Water
Supply Distribution Works project by managing permanent monthly staff on site and recruit
daily casual workers and piece rate workers, performing reference checks, issuing employment
contracts, update, organize and maintain up-to-date HR files. I manage a monthly team of 30
permanent staff, 20 casual day workers and over 50 piece rate workers on every active site. We
are have a total of four (4) sites on the current project; North Mainland, South Mainland, West
Mainland and Island
o Supervise work on site, follow up daily attendance of monthly staff and casual workers. Create a
monthly attendance sheet to prepare and check payroll details and resolve any payroll issues. I
came up with a paying plan for casual workers where payments was made after 2 (two weeks)
job cards.
o Record and implement annual leave and other leaves allowed by the Kenyan law and resolving
all the internal and external HR-related issues.
o Performed Corporate Social Responsibility in accordance to the projects by assigning an
excavation team to prepare parking grounds for St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church- Nyali.
Jan 2021– To date: ASSISTANT TENDERING AND PROCUREMENT OFFICER.
Key Responsibilities:
o Examine tenders and making a list of the tender deadline, project start and end dates, tender
submission instructions/requirements, and manner of submission and ensure that tender
submission due dates are strictly adhered to, including the checking, binding, packing, and
preparation of outgoing submissions.
o Sourcing tenders posting and collaborating with the User Department; the Quantity Surveyor and
Sociologist regarding Tender criteria and status for tender application process. Coordinate,
prepare, and assemble bid submission materials with tendering/bidding activities, tender
questionnaires, and pre-qualifications and compilation of varied input to create a more
competitive bid document. Ensure that tender submissions are standardized in format, font, logo,
and other factors and comply with the customer’s tender requirements.
o Manage and marshal the efforts of all relevant departments relating to tendering/bidding
activities and contract review.
Achievement: Successfully bid and secured the REHABILITATION AND EXTENSION OF
MOMBASA WATER SUPPLY DISTRIBUTION WORKS project that is still on going to date.

o Directors’ first point of contact: Coordinate and prepare regular and special meetings of the
board committees, arrange clients meetings, prepare agendas, and capture minutes, tabulate and
retrieve Directors’ office expenditures and claims and arrange local transportation when

o Maintain a comprehensive filling system, answer office calls, take messages, and Oversee sorting
and distribution of incoming and outgoing mails and operate office equipment.
