My name is Priscilla Ibukun Ibitogbe, and I am a 20-year-old recent graduate of International Relations from Landmark University in Kwara State, Nigeria. I hail from Kogi State and was born and raised in Kaduna State, where I currently reside in the southern part of Kaduna. I am the youngest of three siblings and the only girl, which has given me a unique perspective on resilience and leadership within my family.
From a young age, I have been deeply passionate about literature and art, often expressing myself through concise quotes, poems, and articles. My writing often reflects the challenges and opportunities I observe around me, allowing me to share my thoughts and advocate for change in my community.
My passion for creating equitable opportunities is further reflected in my academic research. For my undergraduate thesis, I focused on how climate change impacts food security in rural areas, using my local government area as a case study. Many residents were unaware of how climate change affects their agricultural productivity, health, and overall well-being. Through my research, I was able to highlight these challenges and propose actionable solutions. This work not only deepened my understanding of the intersection between environmental issues and social inequality but also fueled my desire to become a global advocate for climate action, which aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
