I currently work as an interpreter for English and Portuguese languages as a freelancer and contractor. My work spans both simultaneous and consecutive interpretation, with experience in a variety of settings—from healthcare and community services to corporate meetings and conferences. I have developed strong skills in active listening, cultural mediation, and delivering accurate, nuanced communication between parties who rely on me to facilitate their understanding.

My journey with languages began early and has continued throughout my career. In addition to interpreting, I have extensive experience teaching English to students of different ages and proficiency levels. I believe in adapting methodologies to suit the learner's context, goals, and learning style. This teaching experience has also enhanced my ability to communicate clearly and efficiently—skills that are indispensable in interpretation.

I have held roles that required organization, attention to detail, multitasking, and professional communication. My administrative expertise includes scheduling, document control, team support, and client service—all of which have complemented my interpreting work, especially when navigating the logistics of assignments or managing my own freelance business.

My academic background includes degrees in International Trade and in Translation & Interpretation. These two areas of study have shaped my global perspective and given me a unique combination of business insight and linguistic capability. I’m particularly interested in roles or projects that combine these fields—such as international events, corporate delegations, or programs that involve cross-cultural communication.

I am passionate about creating meaningful communication experiences and helping bridge the gap between people and cultures.
