TWI has Sponsor/Participant Modules which were recently converted into web applications and not yet stable, so lot of issues arise due to inconsistence in the business logic employed in legacy applications and the web applications and thus require lot of maintenance.

Description: ABN Amro uses the SLB system to classify its clientele into three broad categories, green, orange and red based on their credit scoring. The green category as name indicates is the category of clients who have very good credit history and are eligible for all loans, those with orange are those with reasonable credit history and are eligible for selected but not all loans, of course those with red have very bad credit history and do not qualify for any loans. The business rules such as qualification of a client for review of credit history, setting the review date, demanding the collaterals, were being computed in the existing SLB system but now the computation of business rules is being moved to PROBE, a tool which will take the necessary inputs to compute the decisions. The scope of the present project comprises of the supply of the variables needed for the computation of business rules to PROBE & update SLB and CSD (Credit Scoring Database) databases using update variables supplied by PROBE.
Responsibilities: Maintaining the QTS (Query Tracking Sheet) and resolve the offshore queries. Creating the document of understanding and present to the client. Converting the functional design into technical design and get sign off for the same, technical implementation plan, risk mitigation and contingency plan.

Description: ABN AMRO uses an existing system for RF. This system is being redesigned under the EST program. The main project for Sales loans, EST Credits Vernieuwing Consumer Lending deals with changing several aspects of the system. ABN Amro uses an existing SEM (Strategic Execution Module) for new credit-Scoring demands within the program lending portfolios. This will be replaced by a Java based NBSM G3 (New Business Strategy Manager Generation 3). The channel Sales loans will connect to new Java based SEM for credit scoring. ABN AMRO proposes to develop a function layer to ensure that the new Front-end applications can interact with the re-designed Credit scoring. The function layer will receive the request for credit scoring from front-end systems, call the decision agent, store the credit score results in a database and return it to front-end application on need basis.

Description: Thomson West Legal regulatory Services is the legal services division of Thomson West, the work requests are posted by the users through the 4HELP site from where they are fed in to the PVCS tracker database. The requests can vary by the type of request i.e. Enhancement, Maintenance, Development) or the severity like Show stoppers (which need to be resolved with in 8 hours after the they are posted.), Medium, Low. The documents could be either in printed in the form of digest, reporter, legal textbook or made available Online on Westlaw or could be made available on CD-ROM.

Database is accessed over 180 million times a week (~10% of all CHD). It is a central repository built to store and organize head notes, along with their topic & key classification. Its main products are head note information for existing Digest products and other online services.

Description: The Beverly Corp is an insurance major head quartered in Fort Smith, AR. Beverly has decided to change its front end to use .net technologies and UDB to be its database. Developed COBOL-DB2 applications which match and merge the resident profile information from db2 with that from the vsam files which contain the latest info. Apart from loading the master tables with initial data developed applications to update the facility, physician, resident, finance and spend down info. The project is necessitated as Beverly Corp is incurring huge losses on Medicaid patients whose eligibility can not be determined at the time of admission. The process involved in applying for Medicaid is tedious and takes 2 to 3 months, Beverly is trying to automate the admission process along with the Medicaid application process to avoid the delay in determining the eligibility and application for Medicaid.

This objective is basically achieved by making the applications independent of the terminal on which they are running, which involves changing TSQs, TDQs and removing APPLIDs, STARTs with terminal IDs and CWAs.
Adopting following strategies in making the necessary changes. Placing the TSQs in a FOR (File owned region) or Coupling Facility, which typically involves changing the length of name of the queue from existing 8 byte naming convention to 16 byte one. Binding the transaction to the same terminal for its life. Replacing the TSQs by scrollable cursors.
Responsibilities: Handling download tables into test region using platinum tools. Making necessary changes to make the applications HA compliant. Performing Unit Testing & UAT (User Acceptance Testing).
