PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
COSMOS stands for Comprehensive On-Line Software for Management and Operational Support. COSMOS processes both manually entered and automatically submitted claims and pays the claim amount to the respective service providers. This application handles thousands of contracts and claims processing transactions each day and maintains both current & historical information about members, providers, contracts, claims and payments.
The existing COSMOS application was developed in UNISYS Mainframe platform and due to the business demand the application will be migrated to IBM Mainframe platform. The migrated application will have the existing functionality since there is no requirement to add new functionality or to change the existing functionality. An end-to-end functional test verifies the results between an existing COSMOS application on UNISYS environment and the newly migrated COSMOS application on IBM environment for same test data. Cosmos Code conversion is done by third party IDEA Migration team from UNISYS mainframe to IBM Mainframe.
