1 Cover Letter Dear Sir/Madam, Good day! My name is Potter Wang(王敦正). I'm a Canadian Taiwanese who was born and grew up in Taiwan. I’ve worked in international trading (customer service & development, nego….), purchasing (vendors development, nego....), E-commerce and logistics for metals processing/ electronic & electrical components/ chemical materials/ environmental instruments & parts industries for more than two decades in addition to studying and working in Australia and Canada. That has shown my better English & logical abilities with enthusiastic , proactive, quick learning characteristics. As a Sales & PM job, I always attended team seminars on R&D design and development, molding, production technique improvement, procurement, Q.A., sampling issues, etc. I love traveling, talking with people, and helping people, no matter if they are internal or external to my company. That made me lead our team to develop several customers successfully. One of our great achievements was the Korean LG group that we succeeded after 11 times sampling failures. Our top managers were going to give it up then. But I felt very pitiful, so I encouraged our team to try further steps again as I believed we would be there not far away. Furthermore, over a decade of working at a chemical company I also developed and managed the markets for North East Asia, South East Asia, North America, South America, Europe, Australia & New Zealand, South Africa etc. I, therefore, know further how to implement a win-win situation for linking together the best interests of my company and our clients/ vendors. The logistics is a critical part for selling and purchasing in int’l trading. The bulk shipment for chemical material was the most challenging one. I handled the dry container, ISO tank, and bulk shipping methods. Applying export permit and preparing the relevant shipping documents for L/C nego. were also done by me. And as I needed to coordinate well among our production dept., shipping dept., transportation from our plant to the wharf, and the loading operation, etc. within the free time period. I had to communicate well with the bulk chartered and notify our relevant people, notary public, custom brokerage firm, and clients for the most updated information. It’s good for me to demonstrate my communication and coordinating abilities and achieve KPI each year. 2 My latest job was a Purchaser for International & Domestic Purchasing, I mainly focused on international purchasing for environmental instruments (such as gas detectors/ sensors/ emission monitoring etc.). I was involved in environmental instruments inquiry, negotiation, importing/exporting, part of English paper translation, engineering/technical support issues from manufacturers (from Europe/USA/Japan) and on-sites (ex. CPC/ TPC/ Formosa Group/ TSMC...). And I'm very proud to save our relevant projects for several millions NTD yearly and achieve the target delivery time and KPI as well. Age means rich experience, staid, steady…personalities. And I worked int’l trading (E-Commerce, sales and purchaser) for different industries several years, so I’ve practiced and experienced with import/export, purchasing, customer service and management skills a lot. Thus, I have strong confidence to perform well in this position. And I’m also very pleased to submit my resume for applying for this opening position.
