I am a Quantity Surveyor registered with the Boards of registration of Architects and Quantity
Surveyors of Kenya. I have built my experience of over ten years working as a Quantity Surveyor in the
built environment field. I am a highly motivated individual with a track record of reduction of costs
through negotiation of contracts, timely completion of construction Projects and within estimated
budget. I am adaptive in decision making and always pursue continuous improvement at work. I highly
value integrity in all aspects of life. I have excellent oral and written communication skills, a quick

Preparing Bills of Quantities by taking off from Architectural drawings, preparing taking site
measurements and preparing interim valuations and final accounts. General site management and
project monitoring for time, cost and quality control.
Undertaking Feasibility Studies by preparing cost plans, forecasting and budget estimating and costchecking. Project planning, scheduling and monitoring during construction.
Construction Contract Administration – Dealing with variations, preparation of final accounts, project

infrastructure, residential and commercial projects. Work duties comprised of measurement, tender
preparation and analysis, cost and quality control, cost reports, cost planning and estimation, periodic
financial statements and valuations and auditing and evaluation of commercial and fit out projects.

January 2006 to June 2007
My role as the contractor’s Quantity Surveyor was to maximize project margin and add value to the
construction process by proactive involvement in contract management, procurement, cost management
and reporting.
Achievements
Attained 100% success in identifying variations in various projects and tracking approval process to the
end.
Completed several projects from inception to completion i.e Eka Hotel valued at 11 million USD,
Skypark Plaza valued at 5.55 Million USD, Lazizi Premiere(Crown Plaza) valued at 15.2 Million USD
Managed to close the final account of the first Airport hotel in Jomo Kenyatta International Airport
(Crowne Plaza), opened by the President of Kenya, valued at 15.2 Million USD.
