Architected and realized a synchronization engine enabling offline usage. 2012 General Electric (Fasterre) Senior Smallworld Consultant Designed and developed a product for Smallworld users to analyse and optimize their electrical networks. - Fasterre iOS Designer and Developer Designed and implemented Woodcraft, a CAD application for woodworkers. This project makes extensive use of OpenGL, UIKit and Core Data technologies. 2011 BC Hydro (Fasterre) Project and Technical Lead Managed and implemented an interface between PowerOn and a new DMS system. - BC Hydro (Fasterre) Technical Lead Provided technical organization and coding for a large-scale CIM interface between BC Hydro’s existing GIS system and a new DMS system, completely implemented by Fasterre. 2010 General Electric/Florida Power and Light (Fasterre) Senior Smallworld Consultant Participated in Florida Power and Light’s upgrade of their electric transmission and distribution Smallworld GIS to Smallworld 4.1. Migrated various network integrity tools as well as data cleanup modules. - Fasterre iOS Designer and Developer Implemented Terrapad, a Geographic Information System for Apple’s iPhone and iPad. Major design tasks included creating a powerful GIS engine, multiuser data model support, multi-user data syncing, and data import/export to various geospatial formats. 2010 Accenture Business Services for Utilities (Fasterre) - Hydro-Quebec (Fasterre) Senior Smallworld Consultant Joined the PowerOn maintenance team and developed multiple bug fixes for their web and mobile interfaces, network build, Control Window, Call Processor, … Senior Smallworld Consultant Performed evaluation, analysis, prototyping and coding of bug fixes and enhancements to Hydro-Quebec’s Design Manager implementation. Also contributed as a code reviewer. Developed an extensive set of automated tests for Smallworld environment comparison. - Accenture Business Services for Utilities (Fasterre) Senior Smallworld Consultant - Hydro-Quebec Senior Smallworld Application Developer Performed the upgrade of BC Hydro’s PowerOn implementation from version 3.1 to version 4.0. In addition to the tasks listed in the previous GIS product experience, implemented an interface between Design Manager and Hydro-Quebec’s outage management system, carried out various proof-of-concept projects, implemented automated testing of core application components with Munit, mentored junior developers, and performed regular code reviews for his department. - Hydro-Quebec (Accenture) Smallworld Magik Programmer Maintained and enhanced HydroQuebec’s Design Manager implementation by customizing various components including Design Layout Tools, the Job Server, VTK, PNI, and the Cornerstone data model. - IBM Canada –Bromont Plant Lotus Notes Application Developer Provided development and support services for 40 Lotus Notes applications used by the Information Technology and Quality groups. Performed all software development tasks, from analysis to production delivery. - Accenture Business Services for Utilities (formerly Westech Information Systems) Geospatial Information Systems Consultant Maintained and enhanced the BC Hydro PowerOn implementation, using various programming languages including Smallworld Magik, Visual Basic, and PL/ SQL. Acted as team leader replacement. Co-authored and presented a technical paper on how to optimize PowerOn at the “2002 GE Network Solutions Americas User Conference & Exhibition”.
