PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

I started working as a customer adviser at the weekends while studying at university.
Once I graduated, I made the decision to move to full time hours and worked my way
up through the departments taking on more responsibilities until reaching the
Administrator position and becoming the sole post holder and responsible for all
orders placed within the store and online. In 2019, I decided to take a career break to
go live in Canada. I made the decision to return home in April 2020 due to the
COVID-19 pandemic and resumed employment with B&Q.
Digital Agent - September 2017 – May 2019 & April 2020 – October 2020
• Spearheaded transition from legacy system to new “. com+” customer/sales
accounts system;
• Led for team briefings and training sessions with regard new system retail
processes;
• Performed updating in store desktop and hand-held devices; and,
• Responsible for any in-store IT issues, such as printer, desktop, hand-held
device, and telephone issues. If not possible to resolve in-store I was
responsible for escalating the issue to the level 2 off-site helpdesks.
• Oversaw the transition and training to a fully online shopping experience while
the store was temporarily closed to the public as a COVID-19 measure.

• Played a pivotal role in the branch receiving an award-winning retail audit for

other regional locations and customer base.

DHR International, Calgary, Canada - September 2019 – December 2019
An Executive Recruitment firm with an office in Calgary. DHR specialises in
recruiting specifically for executive level and Board Members for well known, global
organisations. The position covered a broad range of tasks, including meeting clients
and candidates. I left the role after the business made the decision to reduce staff
numbers and my role was redundant.
• Responsible for manning the reception desk during office hours, taking phone
calls and responding to emails and greeting and coordinating all visitors upon
arrival;
• Scheduling, arranging, and maintaining calendars and coordinate appointments
with team members as needed and set up conference rooms for meetings;
• Assisted with special projects as assigned, such as coordinating marketing
events, fundraisers, and presentations as well as preparing client proposals;

INTERESTS AND VOLUNTEERING
In my spare time I love to play music, I have been an avid guitarist for many years
and enjoy mixing and editing tracks. I love to weightlift and be active. I also like high
end prop replicating and customisation. And recently I have taken an interest in
coding as a hobby.
In my hometown in Northern Ireland I was very active in volunteering for my local
hospice, which relies entirely on donations from the public. My work for them
included organising sponsored events such as Midnight walks, charity exercise bike
rides, fancy dress day and bake sales.
