• Participated in the development of the first strategic plan for the department
which resulted in a turn-around of the department: surplus revenue grew by 500%
between-, number of seminars grew by 300%, number of participants
increased by over 300% while quality improved.
• Introduced a new item annually to cater for the needs of various stakeholders such
as annual conference for not for profit organizations, annual forensic audit
conference, managerial accounting seminar, ERM conference, evening
professional talks and annual tax conference amongst others.
• Introduced corporate in-house trainings that became an additional revenue stream
for the institute.
• Revived the moribund Branches in terms of ICPAK events participation and
member activities.
• Turn around of Branch events ie ensured that branches record surplus unlike in
the past where they were always on deficit
• Increased Branch activities from an average of 2 per year to an average of 5 for
each branch
• Reduced Secretariat participation at the Branch events by empowering the Branch
members to oversee own events.
