I’m Per-Emil Johansson, a full-stack web developer with a strong foundation in both backend and frontend technologies, and a unique background in professional kitchens that has shaped my approach to teamwork, problem-solving, and efficiency under pressure.

After over a decade of working as a chef and kitchen manager—where I led teams, planned menus, and delivered high-quality service in high-stress environments—I transitioned into tech with a passion for building digital products that are both functional and elegant. I completed an intensive full-stack web development program at the DCI Digital Career Institute in Berlin, focusing on the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express, React, Node.js), along with React Native, Next.js, TypeScript, and Python.

In my most recent position as a Full Stack Developer at Luday SE, I was responsible for building scalable web servers using Python, implementing Docker for modular deployments, and creating responsive UIs across web and mobile platforms using modern JavaScript frameworks. I worked closely with cross-functional teams to deliver maintainable, high-quality code, and continuously integrated best practices to ensure project success.

My developer skillset includes JavaScript, React, React Native, Node.js, Express, Python, TypeScript, and MongoDB. I’m experienced with Git for version control and Docker for containerization. I'm also comfortable learning new technologies quickly and applying them effectively.

My career change has been driven by curiosity, creativity, and a commitment to personal growth. Just like managing a kitchen requires precision, collaboration, and adaptability, software development challenges me to think critically, iterate fast, and keep the end-user in focus.

I thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy contributing to projects that make a tangible impact. Whether it's improving system performance, optimizing UI/UX, or simplifying deployment workflows, I take pride in building solutions that are both technically sound and user-friendly.

Outside of work, I enjoy gaming, video editing, music, and exploring the potential of AI. I bring a creative mindset, strong communication skills, and a reliable work ethic—qualities I honed in professional kitchens and now channel into every line of code I write.
