Since I was a kid I was raised in a bilingual family, constantly switching from Spanish to Catalan, which provided me with the ability to be flexible and adaptive.
After that, I studied all my childhood in a trilingual school: all subject were taught in Spanish, Catalan and English. Moreover, at University all my classes were taught in Spanish, Catalan, English and French. All of the aforementioned opened me the door to start traveling since young age. I traveled around Europe, having lived in France and the UK, and also around America. Thereafter I always kept actively using languages in all the jobs I have been, enriching my vocabulary and fluency.
I did a Bachelor’s Degree in International Business and Marketing, where I acquired multidisciplinary abilities, skills, techniques and behaviors that are the keys to success in international business and marketing. Classes were taught in Spanish, Catalan, English and French.
I worked as CRM Specialist for an online start-up for two years. Working in a dynamic cross-functional team provided me with the tools to become a proactive person and develop the ability to find effective creative solutions. Some of the tasks were lead generation strategy, sales and product funnel definition, email marketing strategy, automated email campaigns, SEO, content creation and customer service.
Additionally, I have been working as a translator for a year and a half, translating from Spanish to English mostly scientific texts published in international medical magazines. Also, in the past I worked as a waitress in the UK and Costa Rica. Working in an international team, constantly interacting with clients from all over the world, I gained an in-depth cultural knowledge and open-mindedness.
I believe my previous experience in the marketing field, plus the contact with different cultures and my languages knowledge, are an excellent match for any translation or transcription job.
