With over a decade of experience in the accounting and bookkeeping professions, Currently, I offer
accounting and bookkeeping services to organizations within and outside Kenya. I am actively
engaged in accounting and bookkeeping for non-profit organizations, private companies,
partnerships, and sole proprietorships.
I offer these services remotely or in a hybrid model, based on the demands of the client.

Prepare annual financial statements. My bookkeeping and accounting work will be conducted in
accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial
Reporting Standards (IFRS).

Financial Reporting and Statements.
Bring books to the balance Sheet stage with complete reconciled ledgers
Prepare and analyze financial statements; Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and
Cash Flow ensuring they reflect the company’s actual financial position.
Maintain accurate accounting records for use by management
Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual IFRS compliant reports, particularly
for project based performance and investors and investor review.

Compliance and Legal Requirements
Ensure compliance with financial regulations, industry standards, IFRS and GAAP
guidelines
Collaborate with representative to meet legal requirements for tax payments
and filings.
Maintain awareness of adherence to construction specific accounting rules
including revenue recognition and lease accounting.
Collaboration with Tax Service.
Work closely with Tax Account managers to ensure compliance.
Prepare and file statutory tax returns: VAT, WHT, CGT, Income TAX, PAYE, & Rental
Income Tax via KRA iTax.
Track and apply withholding tax credits, VAT input claims, and timely CGT
declaration for property disposals.
Maintain compliance with Etims invoicing and ensure all tax filings are up to date.
Cost Accounting and Project Management.
Monitor construction in progress (CIP), and allocate cost as per milestones.
Implement effective job costing for each real estate project.
Analyze budget vs actual variances, and prepare cost performance reports for
internal decision making.
Track Loan disbursements interest capitalization, and investor fund allocations in
projects.
Reporting and Communication.
Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, accounting
team, to provide necessary documentation support.
Present insight and report to management on cash flow, project status, and
financial health of projects.
Bookkeeping Functions
Financial Record Maintenance
Record day to day financial transactions accurately on company books.
Complete the posting process for all transactions in the correct ledgers (day
book, suppliers’ ledger, customer ledger, general ledger
Track Project specific expenses, including land acquisition, approvals,
construction and marketing.
Transaction Verification and Reconciliation
Verify that financial transactions are recorded in the appropriate ledgers and
accounts ensuring consistency and accuracy.
Perform reconciliation for subcontractors, retention, tenant deposits and
intercompany balances.
Reconcile financial records to ensure they match the company’s financial statements
and accounts.

Accounts Payable and Receivable Management.
Manage payables to suppliers, contractors, and consultants, ensuring timely
disbursements and retention tracking.
Process receivables including customer deposits, installment payments, and final
settlement.
Prepare and issue eTims compliant VAT invoices to clients and buyers in accordance
with KRA regulations.
Monitor payments schedules follow up on overdue accounts, and handle
reconciliation.
Financial Data Entry and Management
Enter financial data into systems and software (primarily QuickBooks, QuickBooks
Online, Sage Online,Tally ERP Online, Xero Online, Oracle NetSuite Online) in an
accurate and timely manner.
Ensure proper tracking of financial transactions, maintaining the integrity
of the company’s financial data.
Construction & Project Specific Bookkeeping.
Track Construction in Progress (CIP) and ensure proper posting to fixed assets
upon project completions.
Maintain detail records of material usage, site inventories, and contract payments.
Allocate costs to appropriate project codes or cost centers to enable job costing
and analysis.
Payroll & Statutory Compliance Support.
Support payroll data entry and ensure deductions for PAYE, SHIF, NSSF, Housing
Levy recorded and filed
Track and record tax deduction and submissions (WHT, VAT) for contract
payments.
Assist in the preparation and filing of monthly statutory returns through
KRA iTax platform.
Customer Service Support.
Maintain a customer service mindset, ensuring any queries related to financial
records are handle efficiently and professionally.

Financial Audit Functions
Verify accuracy and completeness of financial statements, ledgers and project specific
records.
Audit Airbnb income flows (Airbnb platform, M-pesa, bank deposits) and expense
classifications
Assess effectiveness of internal controls over construction costs, project funding and
approvals.
Review Internal systems for Air bnb operations: guest payments, refunds, maintenance
and utility tracking.
Ensure compliance with GAAP, IFRS, and ICPAK standards.
