1. 1/12/2019 to 30/1/2020 Dendairy Zimbabwe, facilitating a gap analysis for their operations.
This is a process that compares actual performance or results with what was expected or
desired. By comparing the current state with the target state, companies, business units, or
teams can determine what they need to work on to make their performance or results better
and get on the right path quicker. The method provided a way to identify suboptimal or missing
strategies, structures, capabilities, processes, practices, technologies or skills, and then
recommends steps that will help the company meet its goals.
2. 1/10/2019 to date, Reformed Church University facilitating the (RCU) strategic management
plan which entailed reviewing the Key Results Areas in sync with the new political dispensation
and the Ministry of Higher and Tertiary Education Science Development’s new strategic
direction. This is a re-engagement by RCU since I facilitated their maiden strategic plan.
3. 1/07/2019 to date ,NEC Engineering & Iron & Steel Industry of Zimbabwe:Facilitating the
NEC’s strategic management process which entailed performing a situational analysis,
facilitating the strategic planning workshop and producing a workshop report and strategic plan.
The NEC has not had such an exercise for the last 6 years. This is work in progress with
situational analysis report already in place.
4. 4/9/2017 to 30/9/1712/10/2018, Industrial Development Corporation (IDC), facilitating the
(IDC) strategic management process which entailed recasting the mission statement to be in
sync with the new IDC strategic direction.
5. 4/9/2017 to 30/9/17, SODEW Investments (Pvt) (Ltd), facilitating the SODEW strategic
management process which entailed the creation of the results based management system
and the business plan.
6. 23/6/16 , Zimbabwe Gender Commission Consulting team: Associate Consultant. Assisting
in the crafting of the Implementation plan/Results Based Management Template and
Monitoring and evaluation framework for the team carrying out the strategic plan for the
Zimbabwe Gender Commission.
7. 27/1/2016 to 29/1/16 Steelmakers Zimbabwe Facilitating Steelmakers strategic planning
project and establishing the results based management system. The project entailed
conducting a situational analysis of the company, facilitating a strategic planning session and
creating a results based management template and the implementation plan for the
organization.
8. 3/9/2014 to 30/10/2014 United Nations Development Fund (UNDP), Associate evaluator,
Evaluation of the Pro-poor economic management initiatives. I was responsible for two of the
three projects, MDG acceleration and the Zimbabwe Statistical agency ( ZIMSTAT) project for
the updating of statistics for evidence based policy making and implementation. The role of the
associate evaluator was determining the primary data collection respondents, to collect primary
and secondary data, contribute to the inception package and the evaluation report. Provide
advice on the country context.
9. 1 /5/2014 to 30/6/2014, Fundación DARA Internacional (DARA, Spain) National Evaluator.
Evaluation of the World Food Programme projects in Zimbabwe which included Health and
Nutrition, Seasonal Targeted Assistance and Productive Assets Creation. I was responsible for
HIV/AIDS and Capacity building. Capacity building for beneficiaries as a cross cutting aspect of
all projects to ensure sustainability after the project funding. The role of the Country evaluator
was to contribute country context, methodology, sample and evaluation matrix. The country
researcher then participated in the data collection for 21 days and writing of the evaluation
report.
10. 1/3/2014 to 30/4/2014, Africa Capacity Building Foundation Consultant, Collecting data for
the Africa capacity building indicators for Zimbabwe focusing on Capacity Development for
Natural Resources Management and Regional integration. The project enhanced the
development of capacity building frameworks and strategies in member countries.
11. 1/8/2012 to 30/9/2012 Africa Capacity Building Foundation Consultant, Collecting data for
the Africa capacity building indicators for Zimbabwe focusing on Capacity Development for
Natural Resources Management. The project sought to enable countries to strengthen
institutions dealing with Natural Resources.
12. 6/11/2011 to 15/11/2011 Reformed Church University, Facilitator. Strategic Planning
workshop for establishing the Reformed Church University (RCU). Workshop facilitation and
compilation of the strategic planning document for RCU. This was the maiden 5 year strategic
plan necessary for them to get the university charter. The deliverables included the Results
Based Management template, the implementation template and the business plan.
13. 1/7/2011 to 15/8/2011 Africa Capacity Building Foundation Consultant, Collecting data for
the Africa capacity building indicators for Zimbabwe focusing on Agricultural transformation and
food security.
14. 7/10 t0 10/10, Lesotho, World Bank Consultant, National consultant for the Performance
based Finance pilot study for the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare. The main
objective of the study was to evaluate the feasibility Performance Based Financing in health
centres in two districts of Lesotho. As the country evaluator my role was to collect data on
health delivery including costs in the two districts and the relevant Ministries and compile a
report. The project influenced the role-out, budgeting and implementation of Performance
Based Financing in the Health sector in Lesotho.
15. 8/09 to 4/10, Lesotho, World Bank, Consultant, Consultant for The World Bank and Ministry
of Health and Social Welfare policy study for the use of Village Health Workers in HIV/AIDS
adherence. The objective of the study was to determine the health outcomes of patients on
ART comparing those supported by dedicated AIDS Health Workers and those supported by
Village Health Workers. This is to come up with a policy position on which type of health
workers are sustainable in Lesotho
16. 12/2008 to 3/2009, Lesotho, Strategic Visions, Assistant consultant, Assisting in the
Preliminary study of the role of Health partners in HIV/AIDS adherence in Lesotho. A project for
the World Bank and Ministry of Health and Social Welfare Lesotho. The objective was to
assess the presence, the intervention and areas of operation of the health partners in Lesotho.
This was a preliminary study to the use of Village health workers in HIV/AIDS adherence.
17. 5/2009 to 5/2009, Lesotho, Lesotho Flour Mills/Karizma consultants, Facilitator,
Facilitation of the Strategic Plan for Lesotho Flour Mills. The objective was to assist the
executives of Lesotho Flour Mills to come up with a five year strategic plan to chart the way
forward for the company. I was responsible for facilitation and writing of the strategic plan after
evaluation of the organizational functional areas.
18. 4/200/8 to 11/2008, Lesotho, Focus Africa , Consultant, National consultant for the
situational analysis of Lesotho and South Africa construction industry. As a county assessor, I
was responsible for performing a Market Study on factors affecting procurement of good and
services in the construction industry for Millennium Challenge Account (MCA) through
Emerging Market Group the procurement agent for MCA. The Lesotho government was
granted US$362 million and the procurement agent wanted a situation analysis of the
purchasing scenario for the 5 year implementation period. This was a three in one study whose
deliverables were
A report on the construction industry situation in South Africa and Lesotho
A report on the legal and administrative issues that would affect the purchasing of both goods
and services
Creation of a database and database manual for sources of goods and services
19. 1/2008 to 3/2008, Lesotho, Vodacom, Consultant, Market Research assignment for
Vodacom Lesotho, on the consumption of telecommunications in the border town of Maputsoe.
Vodacom intended to determine the extent to which Basotho in the border town utilize South
African telecommunication services and what they could do to ensure that they pull their own
services up to speed to compete on an equal footing .
20. 6/2003 to 6/2004, Zimbabwe, Gweru Diocese of the Roman Catholic church, Consultant,
Retained by the Gweru diocese to facilitate strategic plans for Mambo Press and diocese
schools. Also carried a Human resource Audit for Mambo Press to evaluate the human
resource needs and relevance to the organization.
