The prime responsibility of the post was to ensure the consistency and correctness of data loaded into the National surveillance database systems and monitoring of the systems.
Particularly I was responsible for all aspects of data quality and system performance relating to the reporting of Statutory Notifications and consistency of data loaded into the national laboratory reporting database and also manage projects run by the departments.
Some key responsibilities included
Contribute to the specification, design and implementation of routine reports.
Manage and assist with development and testing of new and upgraded systems
Writing and executing test scripts
Running tests on the new releases and writing test reports on the systems tested
Meeting with software developers and project support teams and reporting findings of the system testing
Quality assuring the new system and the data loaded in to the system
Writing and maintaining SOPs and user guides on the system use
Train/provide walk through of the system to the juniors
Had a major responsibility for managing the corporate Registration Authority information systems and for acting as the champion for information services.
Act as a Project manager for Health Protection Electronic Notifications.
