I am now studying medicine for the second year, at the Rīgas Stradiņa university. Apart from studies I also do volunteer work at the hospital and participate in other events, usually organised by the university, like debates and scientific research club. I am fluent in Latvian and English, I have also learned some German since I’ve gotten to participate in some projects organised by Goethe’s Institute, but I’m not fluent in it. I have also learned a little Finnish language, while I was on exchange student program in Finland, but again not fluent in it, since I use mostly English when abroad. English is still a class that I am taking at the university, but it’s mainly specific for the field of medicine, but I am also considering to continue my studies in English, next year. For the last half a year I’ve been working at the hospital as a green-suit, but currently I’m unemployed, due to my busy schedule. Because of the amount of time that I have to dedicate for my studies, I don’t have much time for hobbies, but on the other hand it has helped me learn how to plan my time.
