I am a dedicated and detail-oriented individual with extensive experience in laboratory research, leadership, and community outreach. In my academic journey, I have undertaken diverse roles that have honed my technical expertise and interpersonal skills. Serving as the Chief of Staff to the Vice President of my department, I played a vital role in organizing and a health program, conducting free medical tests such as HIV, malaria, genotype, blood group, and blood pressure screenings for over 100 students. Additionally, I delivered health talks, creating awareness and promoting well-being among the participants.
During my industrial training, I gained hands-on experience conducting a variety of laboratory tests, including chemical pathology, hematology, microbiology, and histopathology. I led a team in the laboratory, performing tests myself and mentoring students under my supervision. This experience enhanced my technical acumen, leadership abilities, and passion for teaching.
After my final-year exams, I further advanced my skills by assisting my supervisor in conducting experiments and mentoring students. I taught them how to isolate and culture pathogens, deepening their understanding of laboratory techniques while solidifying my expertise in microbiological methods. Also, my final-year project on providing solutions to anthracnose disease was not only a technical achievement but was also selected for presentation at a conference, showcasing its impact.
Through these experiences, I have developed a strong foundation in research, problem-solving, and mentorship, making meaningful contributions to health and environmental sciences. I am committed to using my skills to address real-world challenges and inspire others.
