My experience with customer service primarily relates to Sales. While I've worked as a customer service representative, I enjoy my job because I get to help customers with a variety of problems, and I'm empowered to be the person who transforms their experience from a negative one into a positive one.
I recently assisted a frustrated customer who was unhappy with discrepancies between our actual inventory and what our mobile application reflected. While the app said we had plenty in stock, we were completely out of the phone model he wanted. I offered to contact nearby stores to locate the item for him, but the was in a hurry, so instead, I recommended a similar phone model that would give him similar quality and experience. He thanked me for my time and effort, and he actually came back a week later to tell me how much they love the product.
