C. PROFESSIONAL WORKING EXPERIENCE & TRAINING
From May 31, 2024, up to now. I have been working as an Investigation Officer II at the
Prevention and Combating of Corruption Bureau (PCCB) in Tanzania.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Conducting Investigations: Obtain all relevant evidence related to be corruption
cases, Interview witnesses, suspects and victims, taking written statements
when necessary, compile detailed investigation reports, including findings and
conclusions, make recommendations based on investigation findings, including
loss provisions, refunds, repudiations, and recovery actions.
Prevention Corruption: Monitor public entities for corruption, advise the public
and private sector on corruption related matters and raise public awareness
about the dangers of corruption.
Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work with internal and external stakeholders to
ensure investigations are resolved timely, Act as a Liaison Officer with Law
Enforcement agencies like Police, DPP and PCCB Itself.
Ensure Quality and Efficiency: Maintain the confidentiality and integrity of
Investigations, ensure investigations are conducted within prescribed time limits
and propose improvements to investigative methodologies and operating
procedures.
Legal Framework: Comply with the Prevention and Combating of Corruption Act,
2007, understand and apply relevant legal provisions related to investigation and
prosecution and ensuring evidence is collected and presented in Court during
trials.
