SUMMARY
I am a Microbiologist (Medical and Industrial).I have masters in Medical Microbiology at the University of Pretoria, South Africa. I have experience in Quality control and various laboratory procedures ranging from Microbiology, hematology, chemical pathology and Histology. I worked as a research assistant at the Medical Microbiology Department, University of Pretoria since 2013 till 2015. My MSc project was on Susceptibility testing of Multidrug Resistant Tuberculosis which was published in an international peer reviewed journal. I have an experience in Molecular pathology methods such as conventional PCR, Real-time PCR, Pulsed-field Gel Electrophoresis, Multi-loci sequence typing and sequencing. I am able to interact with people on all levels due to my contact with different types of people ranging from academics to menial workers. My work experiences have helped me develop my communication and presentation skills. Postgraduate research has cultivated my organizational and administrative skills. I have confirmed my ability to cope with large quantities of material and the ability to handle stressful situations in a professional manner. I am highly professional and motivated. With little or no training I am certain I can work with any microbiology related field. I reside presently in Houston, Texas and I am authorized to work in the United States.
