Product Marketing Intern and then Freelance Product Marketer/Digital Marketing Strategist

March 1st 2023-Present
While working as a freelance writer I applied to do an internship with HeroHunt.ai, an AI recruitment software company.
I wanted to get hands-on experience in the world of SaaS marketing so I started with a 3-month internship which then
became a freelance role which I am still doing on a 20-hour-a-week basis.
My work consists of:

Crafting compelling narratives through long-form copy to drive marketing success. This could be writing about
the latest industry trends in recruitment, best practices for recruiting, how to best use the platform, or creating
thought leadership articles for the founder.

Producing content for a variety of marketing materials including blog posts, email campaigns, product
overviews, videos, social media campaigns, case studies, and website content.
●
Designing and managing SEO strategies including keyword research, content optimization, and creating a
backlink strategy.
●
Assisting in the research of the product and how it is performing among users.
●
Support with event planning and organization.
●
Researching the market and our competitors to assist in developing solutions and identifying new market
areas for growth.
Since working for HeroHunt.ai, I have helped the company double its total user base, created SEO content that ranks
number 1 on Google, and positioned the co-founder as a thought leader in the recruitment space.

The e-commerce business was stagnant, so I decided to jump into copywriting as I always had a passion for writing
and storytelling. I wanted to fuse all the marketing skills I had developed while running the ecommerce business with
writing, which made SEO writing the perfect choice.
I took a couple of Search Engine Optimization boot camps from Google and Hubspot and began writing blogs and

Managing Director / Small Business Owner
Bahamian Enterprise UK-
I ran an e-commerce business with a few partners. I created and imported various products from the Bahamas and
sold them on my WooCommmerce site:bahamianenterprise.uk, Amazon, and eBay.
I was in charge of all social media, SEO, and B2B outreach campaigns aimed at restaurants, retail
outlets, and private label options. I also handled the back office and logistics side of things.
On the eCommerce side of things I:
• Developed and maintained marketing campaigns to drive e-commerce sales.
• Updated website design and content to enhance user experience.
• Managed inventory and ensured product availability to meet customer demand.
• Monitored industry trends and competitor activity.
• Set up stores on Amazon and eBay.
• Packed, Shipped, and tracked orders before automating them with an eCommerce logistics 3rd party.
• Created and updated all social platforms including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
• Connected with various foodie influencers and negotiated deals to promote the Bahamian Enterprise brand.
On the B2B side of things:
• Handled the import/export side of things within The Bahamas and the UK.
• Handled customs and complied with HMRC standards on creating and importing food products.
• I had someone in charge of creating the food products and I designed and created labels to be shipped from China to
The Bahamas and then onto the UK and occasionally New York for a private label customer.
• Obtained a Personal License to import and sell Alcohol (Rum) and went to various trade shows in London,
Manchester, and Birmingham.
• Mapped out a potential food-service client list for the UK.
• Created brochures of our products and up-sold private-label products and raw materials.
• Liaised with various local vendors in The Bahamas to create an online marketplace within our website
akin to Alibaba.
On the finance side:
• Did all the accounting and HMRC compliance.
• Managed the budget.
• Was in charge of all the invoicing.
