Special Project Involvements

Climate Impact for Stronger Naija Project
Project Brief and involvement: This comprehensive project unfolded in several strategic phases: An
intensive capacity-building training program to enhance our team strength on climate policy, climate action
and community engagement. Following this preparatory phase, we were provided with the necessary
resources to organize a two-day hybrid step-down training session to empower and educate youth-led
CSOs in Ondo State on climate advocacy. Finally, we organized a community dialogue, which brought
together 60 diverse participants, serving as a platform for knowledge sharing, collaborative problemsolving, and community mobilization around critical climate issues in Ondo State communities.

Fishers Prep Project
Project Brief and involvement: The Fishers' Prep Project is a youth-led initiative implemented to strengthen
the resilience of fisheries in Nigeria by educating fishermen on the effects of overfishing and illegal fishing
practices on the fish population, most especially how they influence the capacity of aquatic ecosystems and
fish species to cope with climate change. we trained over 100 fishermen on climate-resilient and sustainable
fishing approaches, empowering them to adopt best practices that strengthen fisheries resources against
the threats of climate change.

Ocean Champions project
Project Brief and achievements: The Ocean Champions (sponsored by the Global Changemakers) focused
on extending ocean literacy to secondary school children in Ondo and Oyo states, sensitizing them about
budding ocean challenges, Climate change and plastic pollution and introducing them to creative actions
to address these challenges. Through the project, over 400 students were sensitized on plastic pollution,
and 40+ students were specifically trained on waste management, climate change and environmental
sustainability.
