Discovering Purpose Through Skills, Passion, and Persistence
By Ogundare Blessing Oluwakemi
I’ve always believed that growth begins where comfort ends. My name is Ogundare Blessing Oluwakemi, a passionate and self-driven Economics graduate from Veritas University, Abuja. From an early age, I was drawn to structure, data, and the subtle patterns behind how things work—whether it was organizing my personal tasks with color-coded notes or watching my environment and analyzing why people made the choices they did. That curiosity eventually led me to study Economics, a discipline that perfectly balances logic with real-world human behavior.
Throughout my university years, I immersed myself in the quantitative and analytical aspects of the subject. I graduated with a Second Class Upper Division, but my achievements went far beyond grades. I mastered essential tools like Microsoft Excel, EViews, and Stata—software that helped me turn numbers into stories. I conducted academic research, ran regressions, analyzed trends, and uncovered insights that made me feel like an economic detective solving invisible puzzles.
Beyond economics, I discovered a flair for digital marketing. I began exploring how businesses use the internet to connect with people—learning about content creation, social media strategies, and engagement metrics. I took the initiative to understand platforms and trends, finding joy in understanding how the digital world shapes consumer behavior. My skillset today includes social media management, content planning, and data-driven digital strategies.
As I stepped into the professional world, I set my sights on becoming a Virtual Assistant—not just as a job, but as a launchpad for impact. I may not have formal job experience yet, but I bring something more valuable: a deep sense of responsibility, strong organizational abilities, and a hunger to learn. I’ve handled multiple academic projects, managed tight schedules, collaborated with classmates remotely, and consistently met deadlines—qualities that define an effective virtual assistant.
I’m fluent in both English and Hausa, a bilingual advantage that allows me to connect with a wide range of clients and audiences. My communication is not only professional but also empathetic—I listen, understand, and act.
Outside academics, I have a variety of hobbies that keep me grounded. I enjoy reading articles on global economics and development, listening to podcasts, exploring new tech tools, and writing. I also have a soft spot for community work and enjoy volunteering whenever I can. Music and occasional quiet time round out my days, giving me the balance I need to stay focused and inspired.
At my core, I’m a determined young woman who believes that discipline, integrity, and consistent learning can open any door. I’m not just looking for a job—I’m building a career with purpose, impact, and heart.
