Tenements Manager (November 2006 to March 2018)
o Responsible for the management and administration of the company tenement
package across the Philippines;
o Responsible for consolidating requirements and lodging of tenement applications
with the concerned government offices;
o Monitors and ensures compliance with statutory tenement requirements, postapproval periodic reporting requirements and fiscal obligations under the terms
and conditions of the permits/contracts;
o Liaise cross-functionally within the OceanaGold teams to ensure all required
reports and other requirements are completed and submitted in a timely manner;
o Builds and maintains communication and good relationship with internal and
external stakeholders, including but not limited to, the claimowners, the central
and regional offices of the DENR, MGB, NCIP and local government units,
amongst others;
o Manages tenement retention, ensuring the tenements are in good standing and
renewals are granted;
o Monitors and reviews new issuances of government acts, orders and
memoranda relating to mining tenements;
o Provides alerts to the concerned team/s on submission/payment of reports/fees;
o Coordinates periodic ground verification by the government on each tenement;
o Maintains an accurate reporting system to ensure changes in tenement holdings,
updates on outstanding requirements and upcoming requirements are reported
internally in a timely and effective manner;
o Reports to the management any hurdles or issues that need escalation for
resolution;

o Helps coordinate the Company’s participation in the Annual National Mine Safety
and Environmental Conference held by the Philippine Mine Safety and
Environment Association (PMSEA) where various sectors in the mining industry
meet and celebrate;
o Has major participation in the preparation of documentation for the entry for
Philippine Mining Industry Environmental Award, the highest award given to a
mining company by the Awards Selection Committee led by the Department of
Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) and the PMSEA; and
o Assists in reportorial and due diligence requirements for prospect investors for
exploration and mining tenements.
Compliance Advisor (March 2018 to February 2019)
o Reports directly to OGPI’s Country Director and works closely with the same, the
Senior Vice President for Communications and External Affairs, and the
Chairman on Government Relations mainly to continue work on securing the first
FTAA renewal for the Didipio Project.
