I am a Veterinarian by profession. I love animals so much. Because they cannot speak, fulfilling my obligation to alleviate any pain and suffering in any animals requires having a 'sixth sense', and paying keen attention to details. Over time, I have applied this to everything I do including working with data. I am so passionate about data and data analytics. I obtained a scholarship to learn data analytics using Microsoft Excel where I mastered skills in pivot tables, count if, sum if, and charts such and also Google Sheets and Tableau. I tried to put this into practice. I worked in a Veterinary pharmacy where the record-keeping was quite untidy. I took the previous record books and entered the data into an Excel spreadsheet. I analysed the data I had and realised that a particular product that had so much patronage suddenly dropped in sales. On further investigation, I discovered that the patronage dropped because the customers didn't like the branding of drugs because it didn't look quality. After I presented my findings, the drug was changed back to the particular brand people were familiar with and sales picked up again. My boss was so impressed and gave me a raise because I was not given the task initially, but my passion for delivering excellence and being efficient and productive in anything I do makes me always go the extra mile to ensure I add value. My exposure to interacting with people from different backgrounds makes me an excellent communicator. This skill has helped me because I have had to work with clients in different countries with different time zones and cultural backgrounds without any issues. I am able to communicate respectfully every step of the task with my clients. Emotional intelligence is a necessary skill required for successful human interaction. In order to be efficient and deliver the best to my clients, having an efficient computer and a good network is essential. Also, maintaining confidentiality is pivotal hence I have invested in making sure I have all these. In addition, I am a very deep thinker, I love to observe my environment and ask questions, and I express myself in writing. I read a lot and love to listen to people talk about their culture, experiences and ideas. That way my mind gets expanded and I understand people and understand why they do what they do. In my leisure time, I enjoy reading, travelling and cooking.
