Obi Chigozie Ogochukwu

I am a bright, talented and ambitious legal professional with vast knowledge and a proven record of providing indispensable service and delivering positive outcomes. I am also very self-motivated and a highly driven person, very open to challenges and receptive to training. I am a quick learner who can absorb new situations and can communicate clearly with legal professionals and members of the public. I am interested in roles that will allow me contribute the best of my ability and quota to improve organizational objectives.
I obtained my LLB degree from Madonna University Okija, Nigeria with second class honors and further obtained my BL degree from the Nigerian law school Abuja with a second class upper degree. In addition to this I am a certified dispute resolution specialist from the Dispute Resolution Associates Limited (Settlement House) Abuja. I possess litigation and administrative skills. I am also proficient in the drafting of corporate/commercial agreements, minutes of meeting and other legal documents. I am a highly skilled individual armed with theoretical and practical knowledge of alternative mechanisms of dispute resolution and high emotional intelligence. In addition to these I am bilingual as I can speak and communicate proficiently in English and on an intermediate level in French which I studied for a period of three years at Alliance Francaise Lagos.
My work experience has spanned my externship in the law firm of Tope Adebayo LLP, my pupillage in the law office of Chidi Uka and Co where I was involved in a broad range of work including but not limited to perfection of legal mortgages, company secretarial work and attending meetings, and my role as a legal associate in the law firm, Chlinkwell Solicitors and Advocates where I am actively involved in litigation, corporate drafting and secretarial work. I am also currently an Online Volunteer for the United Nations Volunteer Program (UNVP) and I am presently undergoing an online course on the Alison learning platform on Business and legal studies to further enhance and boost my knowledge of law and business.
In addition, I am good at working quickly and accurately to tight deadlines, my problem analysis and solving skills are above par and I am also well versed with knowledge and practical use of substantive and procedural law and delivering good quality service is a value I professionally live up to. I am open to tasks that will expose me to challenging experiences hence help me build a broad portfolio of technical, professional and interpersonal skills.
