Hello! My name is Norwen Peñas, and I am currently pursuing a degree in Computer Engineering at the University of San Jose - Recoletos, where I have been honing my skills and expanding my knowledge since 2021. My journey in the field of computer engineering has been both challenging and rewarding, providing me with a solid foundation in various programming languages, including C, C#, and .NET MAUI.

Throughout my academic and professional career, I have developed a diverse skill set that spans across programming, project management, auditing, and leadership. My technical proficiency is complemented by my ability to utilize tools such as Google Workspace, Trello, Notion, and Discord, which have been instrumental in streamlining my workflow and enhancing my productivity.

One of my notable projects is the development of DeskHub, a mobile application designed for reserving rooms in co-working spaces. This project, completed in 2024, allowed me to apply my programming skills in a practical setting, further fueling my passion for creating innovative solutions that address real-world problems.

In addition to my technical capabilities, I have gained significant experience in leadership and management roles. As the Vice President of the Institute of Computer Engineers of the Philippines - University of San Jose - Recoletos Chapter, I have organized and led numerous events, ensuring high participation and smooth execution. My role required me to schedule and facilitate meetings, both online and in-person, enhancing communication and collaboration within the team. I consistently surpassed project deadlines and organizational goals, all while promoting a positive and inclusive work environment that fostered effective cross-functional decision-making.

Prior to my current role, I served as an Auditor for the same organization, where I ensured precise financial assessments and regulatory compliance through meticulous auditing. My attention to detail and commitment to precision allowed me to promptly identify and resolve discrepancies, enhancing the efficiency of audit procedures. I utilized spreadsheets, Excel, Word, and Canva to create detailed financial reports and presentations, delivering accurate and timely audit reports that demonstrated my professional standards.

My professional journey also includes experience as a Virtual Assistant for a private company in 2022, where I managed three Facebook pages with daily product uploads, developed and executed social media strategies to increase sales, and engaged with customers to provide support and foster community. This role enhanced my ability to monitor social media metrics and adjust campaigns accordingly, demonstrating my adaptability and responsiveness in a dynamic environment.

In 2021, I worked as a Department Leader at Creotec Philippines Inc., where I fostered a culture of collaboration and accountability, enhancing team performance and satisfaction. I implemented initiatives that improved cost-effectiveness while maintaining high-quality standards, utilizing Trello and Discord for efficient project management and managing documents and data using Google Drive, Docs, and Sheets.
