My most notable work so far has included but is not limited to: 1. Delivering an election situation room system for the Zambian Election through the period of JuneAugust 2021. I also travelled to Zambia during the election period to train and manage the local tech team. 2. Performing a technology assessment for Inyatsi Group, a multi-national company with headquarters in Eswatini/Swaziland that was a civil construction company but has diversified by acquiring companies in Health, Insurance and more. 3. Developing a citizen engagement platform for Hivos International and Catholic Commission for Justice and Peace SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT MANAGER Angle Dimension, September 2019-February 2021 Due to my work on the development of National Pension Database system for the central bank in Malawi (Reserve Bank of Malawi), I was promoted to the management role of the software development division. I acted as both project manager and software development lead on all projects by AD. SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER Angle Dimension, June 2018-August 2019 I was brought in to lead development and manage a team of young, vibrant software engineers. My biggest achievement was development of mobile-first transaction management and bookkeeping platform for village savings groups. A mini-banking application for VSLAs which integrates with banks (FDH) and mobile money providers (Airtel) to provide a one-stop platform where users can view, manage, issue transactions that occur in village savings group. The product has won multiple awards. SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR AND ENGINEER mHub-OSISA, March 2016-May 2018 I was assigned to be lead developer and system administrator for an mHub project supported by the Open Society Initiative for Southern Africa. During this time, I led development of and then managed the first citizen engagement platform in Malawi which leverages SMS, Web and Mobile technologies to provide an evidence-based reporting platform for Malawians. ASSISTANT TECHNICAL MANAGER mHub-HIVOS, February 2015-February 2016 I was recruited as the first employee for mHub and tasked with laying down the necessary ground work to make the hub a successful organization and initiative. I was involved in recruitment of team members and led the development of the tech department of the hub. CHIEF DATA OFFICER Malawi Election Information Center-OSISA/HIVOS, March 2014 – December 2014 Initially recruited as a member of the data management team for the first election situation room in Malawi during the 2014 Malawi elections. During the project, I was promoted to lead the data team, this involved interfacing with the software development team to ensure data quality.
