It has been a true pleasure working with Noam, who has been very hard working,
taking his job seriously, and always nice on the personal and professional levels.
Prof. Eli Dichterman
Managed Noam At In Quest
I have worked together with Noam for three and a half years at InQuest, where he was
the head of software development, reporting directly to me. Noam is a very talented,
creative, result-oriented and self-motivated person. He swiftly but thoroughly learned all
the highly technical intricacies of automated trading, and became well-versed in this
field. Through his keen attention to details, and his ability to translate ideas into
coherent plans, he manged to create a robust and fully-automated trading system,
with a very solid performance, and a wide range of functionalities. Noam's
contributions to the company went far beyond the development of the trading
platform. He has shown exceptional managerial, operational, and administrative skills.
His natural curiosity, coupled with an intuitive understanding of mathematical
concepts, enabled him to make significant contributions to the design and
optimization of the trading strategies. During the entire period of his work at InQuest,
Noam has shown efficiency, enthusiasm and dedication, and was very cooperative to
work with. With his skills and experience, willingness to work hard, and pleasant
personality, I am confident that he would be a valuable asset to any organization.
Ofer Egozi
Managed Noam At Babylon
I hired Noam in 2001 to work in our client-side team. Noam immediately stood out as a
smart, thorough and responsible team member. In addition to excellent execution,
Noam also attempted to improve the development processes in every task he was
involved in, and showed great interest in the reasoning behind business decisions.
Noam also has great interpersonal skills, and his patience and good spirit were very
helpful in his interactions with other internal and external functions.
Avner Aviad
Managed Noam At Babylon
I had a great opportunity to work, manage, and supervise Noam in his role of a Senior
Software Engineer at Babylon. Noam was in charge of putting together a new
architecture to our Content Service and designed almost single handed and wrote a
new Content Server that covers both local and online content access. In 5 doing that,
Noam was able to take into account new requirements and interfaces and very
skillfully combine them with a major requirement to serve existing "legacy" data sources
that Babylon's millions of users already use. Noam is a very deep thinker and can come
up with very clever solutions in a short time. He excels in writing clear documentation
for his work, both in separate design and user documentation and inside the code he
writes. Although he was in charge of the biggest project in R&D, when Noam left the
company, we were able to pass his duties to another person very quickly, because of
his great ability to code clearly and document thoroughly. In addition, Noam, who has
no formal education in the area of Computer Linguistics, was able to design and
program Morphology engines for multiple languages, most of which he cannot read.
Being both an excellent engineer and a natural leader, I expect that Noam will have
the freedom to choose his direction for his career. I can see him managing an
engineering team and if he chooses, going on to other managerial roles. I am
delighted to make a strong recommendation for any employer that considers hiring
Noam or contract him as a freelance contributor.
