Nithin Kumar is a skilled computer science graduate with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Dr. M.G.R University in India. He possesses a strong technical foundation, with proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, JavaScript, and Java, as well as expertise in various libraries and tools like PyTorch, Scikit-learn, Pandas, NumPy, OpenCV, Git, and Docker. Nithin has experience working with machine learning architectures, including CNNs, YOLO, Transformers (BERT, LSTM), and RAFT.
Nithin's professional experience includes working as an SDET at Cognizant, where he designed and developed automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver and Java for web applications, ensuring thorough test coverage. He implemented test automation frameworks and strategies, collaborated with cross-functional Agile teams, executed manual and automated test cases, and conducted code reviews to maintain coding standards and best practices.
Prior to that, Nithin interned as a Backend Operations Intern at Twin Health, where he collaborated with the development team to design and implement RESTful APIs using Node.js and Express.js. He integrated back-end services with a PostgreSQL database and implemented data validation and error handling mechanisms. Additionally, Nithin interned as a Full Stack Intern at Classplus, where he developed responsive user interfaces using HTML5, CSS3, and modern JavaScript frameworks like React or Angular, integrated back-end services with a MySQL database, and collaborated with cross-functional teams.
Nithin has worked on several notable projects, including an Image Classification Using CNN project, where he developed an image classification system using deep learning techniques and Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs). He also created a personal portfolio website to showcase his skills and projects, as well as a Movie Recommendation system utilizing content-based and collaborative filtering.
Furthermore, Nithin has published an article titled "AI-powered face recognition based attendance marking system" in ICCODS 2020 and co-authored a book called "Unveiling the Present: Exploring Artificial Intelligence." He has been actively involved in extracurricular activities, serving as an Event Organizer for Techestra 23' Technical Symposium and the Association of Computer Engineers (ACE) Club.
