I am a development economist and interdisciplinary researcher with over six years of experience working at the intersection of climate resilience, livelihoods, gender, and social protection in Sub-Saharan Africa. My work bridges academic research and practical development solutions, combining rigorous analysis with a strong focus on community-led and context-sensitive approaches.
Currently pursuing a PhD in Development Studies, my research explores how different forms of livelihood resources affect how households adapt to cyclones in Southern Malawi. This work includes a special focus on vulnerable groups such as children, young mothers, and communities living in disaster-prone areas. I use mixed-methods research designs—qualitative, participatory, and quantitative—and bring strong skills in data analysis, stakeholder engagement, and policy writing.
Over the years, I have consulted for a range of clients, including UNICEF, UNDP, national governments, and civil society organizations. I’ve contributed to the design and evaluation of programmes on climate adaptation, disaster recovery, early childhood development, and youth empowerment. My work has involved developing research tools, leading fieldwork, synthesizing evidence, facilitating community dialogues, and preparing reports that inform national policies and donor strategies.
My professional strengths lie in translating complex field realities into actionable insights. I am skilled in project design, proposal development, and strategic planning. I’m also well-versed in writing high-quality reports, policy briefs, and research papers for diverse audiences—from community stakeholders to international donors.
I am deeply committed to ethical, inclusive development practice. I value participatory processes that amplify local voices, especially those of young people, women, and marginalized groups, and ensure their perspectives shape the policies and programmes that affect them.
Whether you're seeking support with research, project development, writing, or strategy, I bring reliability, critical thinking, and contextual depth to every assignment. I am based in Malawi but work comfortably across borders and time zones.
Let’s work together to design solutions that are evidence-based, locally rooted, and globally relevant.
