DEVELOPED SKILLS
Team work –From working as an accounts officer to being a sub-warden, team work proved vital in
ensuring that objectives were met. For this reason, I embraced active listening, participation and
open-mindedness while with my team mates. This also added value to that which I already
possessed, the ability to work independently.
Good Customer relations-Time spent as a call center agent and as a student assistant at UCT’s
student housing office highlighted the importance of patience and temper control more especially
when faced with difficult clients. This coupled with active listening and empathy were tools that I
found of great assistance when performing my assigned tasks.
Communication and public presentation-As an ACE andin other roles in my academic and work
life, I found myself honing the skills of public speech and presentation. Drawing the attention of
your audience and leaving them with the desired message came as a challenge and one I found great
fulfilment in. I have not mastered the art of public communication but I enjoy the thrill that comes
with experiencing and learning it.
IT SKILLS
Proficient in using Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint and acquainted with both Pastel
accounting and Quickbooks.
HOBBIES AND INTERESTS
Recently became an avid fan of soccer and learning to appreciate and indulge in
photography, keyboard playing, yoga and hiking, amateur badminton, museums and art
galleries
A keen traveler intent on discovering the world’s treasures and exposing oneself to different
cultures.
