About

I am a dynamic and results-oriented software engineer with a passion for leveraging cutting-edge technologies to drive innovation and solve complex problems. With a solid foundation in computer information systems and hands-on experience in both frontend and backend development, I thrive in fast-paced environments where I can contribute my expertise to the design, development, and optimization of scalable software solutions.

My journey in the tech industry began with internships at NCSoft and Cyberstep, where I gained valuable experience in mobile game development and data analysis. During my time at NCSoft, I collaborated on Fashion Street, a mobile social game application, where I honed my skills in Cocos2D/C++ development. At Cyberstep, I had the opportunity to work on CombatBots Cosmic Commander, where I developed and maintained reports, dashboards, and data visualizations using Tableau and Excel to communicate key performance indicators.

Upon graduating from Western Carolina University with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems, I embarked on my professional career as a Software Engineer at Walmart. In this role, I have led the design and development of multiple enterprise-level microservice applications within the Commerce Experience Group, contributing to a significant portion of the company's annual revenue. I have demonstrated expertise in a wide range of technologies, including AWS, Java, .NET, Spring Boot, and MS Graph, among others.

One of my proudest accomplishments at Walmart has been designing and implementing scalable APIs and background workers for managing proprietary licenses, which serve millions of license requests daily. I have also led the end-to-end development of several products, from requirements gathering to software implementation, testing, and deployment. Throughout my career, I have prioritized continuous learning and have actively sought opportunities to mentor others in programming, data structures and algorithms, career advice, and coding interview preparation.

In addition to my professional pursuits, I am currently working towards becoming a Practical Junior Penetration Tester, further expanding my skill set and knowledge in cybersecurity. Outside of work, I enjoy staying active in the tech community, attending meetups, and exploring new technologies and trends. I am excited about the opportunity to continue growing and making a meaningful impact in the field of software engineering.
