As Head of Content Marketing and Development at ContentSME, my role was to conceive, create and coordinate a wide variety of content for our clients, for whatever their marketing goals may be. I also briefly held a position in sales but my previous content creation experience from my previous publications was needed more and I found that I could transfer my sales and customer service skills through to this role as often I would directly consult with clients over the telephone and by email to sell the benefits of both Content Marketing and the need for onsite content changes.
Duties and Responsibilities:
-The planning, organization of strategy and ultimately, production of various different pieces of con tent tailored to our clients requirements, the types of content could include Content Marketing Blogs, Website Content, SEO Resource Materials, Infographics, Onsite SEO Content, Email Marketing Content, Essays and Presentations, Dissertations and case studies and E-books.
- Liaising with management and various members of the team to advise and assist with the content requirements of different projects and how it could affects various different kinds of projects from SEO strategy to website design and everything in between.
-Consulting with clients about the various benefits of our services, such as content marketing or a change to their websites content, and how they could further be leveraging the potential of their content to gain them extra brand awareness.
-Drafting the strategy, frame work and often times, creating email marketing templates for clients.

It's during my time as a salesperson at Digital Monopoly I feel that I really was introduced to the world of digital marketing and developed not only my sales skills through outbound marketing and sales calls, but also my in depth knowledge of the inner workings of various different fields of Digital marketing and how to effectively explain this and the value of these fields and services to prospects and potential clients.
