Developed and implemented different type of gauges in the production process for reduced the rework/rejection WORK AS A JUNIOR RESEARCH FALLOW Work as a junior research fellow in Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research (IGCAR), Kalpakkam in Quality Assurance Division SIGNIFICANT CONTRIBUTIONS Got knowledge of different failure modes in nuclear plant, life predication of component in different failure condition, finite element method, high temperature design, seismic design, different mechanical properties of material and behavior of material at high temperature. Successfully presented a technical paper titled - Study of Turbocharger. Holds the distinction of being deputed the Quality Assurance Division on improving quality performance and six sigma application for nuclear plant (Demonstration Fuel Reprocessing Plant) by DAMIC methodology. Involved in implementation of DAMIC methodology to improve the quality of welding & fitting for the pipe lines and tanks of the plant. Developed the process to reduce the use of argon gas in welding process for construction of pipe line in Demonstration fuel reprocessing plant (DFRP). PROJECT EXECUTED: Title: Transient Thermal Analysis. Brief: The project involved transient thermal analysis to estimate the temperature distribution in the heat affected zone of weld joint. The temperature distribution is estimated using temperature dependent material properties as well as convective and radiative mode of heat transfer in the joints. The analysis procedure is validated with experimental results & same is used for the temperature distribution in the weld joints in Air Heat Exchanger (AHX) tubes of Prototype Fast Breeder Reactor (PFBR). The temperature distribution is used as input for residual stress estimation in structural analysis. WORK DUTIES AS A LECTURER: Worked as a lecturer in MIT Muzaffarpur (Bihar) , in Mechanical Engineering department. Responsible subjects were strength of material, fluid mechanics and thermodynamics.
