I am Naureen Sharmi, a passionate molecular biologist with a strong academic background in plant genetic engineering and growing expertise in scientific communication, healthcare product strategy, and medical marketing. My career reflects a unique combination of scientific depth and industry insight, allowing me to bridge the gap between laboratory research and real-world application in the biotech, pharmaceutical, and healthcare sectors.
My academic journey began at the University of Dhaka, where I earned both my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Botany, with a concentration in genetic engineering. My Master’s thesis focused on developing CRISPR-Cas9 constructs to induce drought tolerance in potato plants—a project that not only honed my research skills but also deepened my commitment to innovation and scientific integrity.
I began my professional career as a researcher at the Plant Biotechnology and Bioinformatics Lab (PBBL), where I gained hands-on experience in molecular biology techniques, tissue culture, genetic modification, and bioinformatics. This foundation laid the groundwork for my transition into the healthcare industry, where I applied my scientific acumen to product development and marketing strategy.
As a Product Management professional at Concord Stem Cell Limited—Bangladesh’s only DGDA-approved stem cell manufacturer—I have been actively involved in launching cutting-edge therapies and diagnostic solutions. My work includes developing scientific and promotional content, managing clinical documentation, supporting clinical trials, and coordinating with R&D, regulatory, and marketing teams. I’ve played a key role in executing awareness campaigns, organizing CME events, creating visual aids, and ensuring medical accuracy across all communication materials.
As a freelancer, I offer a unique blend of scientific literacy and strategic creativity. I specialize in crafting accurate, engaging content for medical and biotech audiences—ranging from brochures, whitepapers, and educational materials to digital campaigns, research summaries, and product briefs. I also assist with market research, competitor analysis, and product positioning strategies.
I’m fluent in Bengali and English, and conversational in Korean, Hindi, and Arabic, which enables me to collaborate effectively with global teams. I hold certifications in Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and have contributed to DGDA-approved clinical trial projects.
Whether you’re a healthcare startup, biotech company, or research organization, I’m here to help bring clarity, compliance, and compelling storytelling to your scientific or medical communication needs. Let’s connect and turn ideas into impactful outcomes.
