I am an accountant with 18 years of experience. I matriculated in 1999 and was awarded an opportunity to do an internship at the tender age of 18 at KMPG one of the then largest firms in the world. I studied via distance learning whilst having on the job training. That experience was invaluable and set me up to becoming a notch above the rest of the people in my field. I completed my articles in 2004 however did not qualify as a chartered accountant. I worked as a group financial accountant in a well know retail group in KZN. After a year I wanted to go back into the auditing/corporate environment. I worked as an accounting manager and studied further qualifying as a professional accountant. An opportunity then emerged from an old client in the development sector which i decided to take. After a few months at this client i became head hunted to assist similar development organisations. I at this stage started my own company becoming a consultant financial manager. I specialise in development finance; donor liaison; proposal development; reporting; budgeting; forecasts; financial training; management accounts;business plans; taxes;auditing and business development.
