I've been in customer service for 2 years now I worked as a freelancer/cold caller in a real estate field. What I do is, I call home owners to see if they are interested to sell their properties. If the owner is interested, I ask them different types of questions, regarding the current condition of the property. Such as roof, the walls, foundation, upgrades that are being made and if the property needs some work.
I have also worked with a company where they are accepting vacant lands, commercial property and condos. Once I got all the information I need. I forward the information to my client using their CRM which is Podio. From there, my client will do their homework to see how much we can offer
Apart from being a Cold Caller, I also worked in a factory as a Master Baker. What I do is, I am responsible in baking cakes, egg pie and so much more. I enjoyed working their because I love cooking and I am very much to details. I won't be sending these cakes, not unless it looks presentable.
I also enjoyed working as a Cold Caller because it allows me to talk to different people with different attitude. The best part is, I know how to handle them all. I just have to maintain my composure and always be professional in each call. Because I believe that I am the front line and the face of the business I handle. If I gain confidence and trust to my customer. That means they will trust the company and gain more customers.
I guess I got learned all of these things to experience. I've worked with sales before in a shoe company and I am dealing with different kinds of customers everyday. The only thing that makes it different with doing old calling is that, I assist these customers face to face and so, I have to always smile and be presentable and give them an awesome service. Because I am customer myself and I want to make them feel, what I would feel if I get the same service to other company or establishments.
