In addition to my work as a LINAC service engineer, I was assigned in this position to assist in
supervising the maintenance work of the medical equipment supplied to Al Amal Cancer Center
under the agreement of the Dutch Grant. My responsibilities were split into two main categories:
First the technical part and that is by:
Acting as a contact person for all the service calls regarding the equipment covered under
the contract.
Performing estimation on the level of service the equipment requires.
Performing any service procedures within my capabilities.
Contacting the Third party service providers and coordinating between them and the
hospital regarding the progress of the service.
Accepting the service from the third party service providers and handing over the serviced
equipment to the hospital.
Second the Administration part, and that is by:
Managing the spare parts stock.
Contacting manufacturers for technical assistance.
Preparing plans for preventive maintenance procedures.

Elekta Oncology Systems in London-UK (former Philips Radiotherapy Systems).
Participated in the pre-installation planning, installation process, and commissioning for
the complete Radiotherapy department at Al Amal Cancer Center in Amman-Jordan.
Senior and sole service engineer handling the complete Radiotherapy department at Al
Amal Cancer Center with responsibilities covering Preventive and Corrective
Maintenance, and Quality Assurance.
My activities in this field covered the following specific models: Elekta SL25 LINAC,
Elekta SL75-5 LINAC, Elekta SLS23 Simulator, Nucletron mHDR Brachytherapy unit,
Nucletron Plato Planning System, PTW and Multidata Dosimetry equipment, and mold
room equipment.
Received my technical training on MRI equipment at Philips Medical Systems, Best-The
Netherlands.
Acted as a senior service engineer for MRI equipment with responsibilities covering
Preventive and corrective maintenance, and quality assurance.
